Working and loving it.

In one of the manga that I have been reading for the past few months, one particular title showed an interesting view about the law of cost and effect in terms of granting a wish.

The trans-dimensional witch Yuuko usually demands payment for every transaction (which is the wish itself) from all her “clients” in. She does this because she clearly states that for one’s desire to be fulfilled, a sacrifice of equal value must be “paid”. Or else there will be "mishapps". If you think about it really, there left to be debated and discussed about this well known and accepted fact. The whole summation of this claim is an ultimatum rule of thumb in equality. “What you did on the right side of the equation must be committed as well on the right”.

This is also the main reason why any one who wishes to excel in any field, may it be in science or arts, requires rigid training, exercise, and practice. It doesn’t matter if you are a born natural or a plain dolt. You have to give off something to gain something in return. It cannot be done in rush and using shortcuts. Such resistance and law omission is futile.

In mythology, you have to give you mortality for immortality. For scholars, one is required to slave away in your room and swallow the bitter torment of dealing with numerous assignments, back breaking experiments and voluminous readings to have excellent grades and access (because it can still change) a very promising future.

The world is never fair mou cheri. If it was then, everyone should have just been sitting in high chairs and leisurely sipping fruit infused teas and eating cakes for the entire world to care.

Should I say more?
